Group Runs
TRAIL RUNS
The Penticton Pounders group trail runs are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings leaving the trailheads at 5:45 PM. During the Summer they sometimes switch to morning runs, so best to check with the store. Sunday’s longer run is determined Thursday night after the run. You can come run with the group for a couple of times and if it suits you, then you can become a Pounder Club member.
ROAD RUNS
For road running the Penticton Pounders do runs on Thursdays and Sundays. The Interval group meets at 6:AM at Skaha Park by the tennis courts and run for an hour. (Summer hours) The Sunday ‘Twisted Blisters’ run group meets Sundays at 7:00 AM at various locations. You can come run with the groups for a couple of times and if it suits you, then you can become a Pounder Club member.
There is also a free Park Run event that happens every Saturday from the Peach Concession on Lakeshore Drive West at 8 am. It’s a free, timed 5k route. You’ll need to sign up online ahead of time to get your bar code for timing. You can still run if you don’t have a bar code.
