Why consistency and control are the keys to success

Running Science.co.za defines consistency in run training as “the ability to string together consecutive good training weeks for a considerable period of time.” Controlling the efforts of our runs means “making sure that our overall training load is sustainable over a period of time and knowing when to recover and take it easy.”

When we run consistently, training has a compounding effect and we notice a vast improvement in our physical fitness as our body conditions itself. If training is not consistent, our body has a harder time adapting.
